The Brazilian Church of Hope is a vibrant, cross-cultural and bilingual (Portuguese and English) church in the metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, where thousands of Brazilians live. We started in 1998, with small groups that gathered to study the Bible in Portuguese. Seeing the growth of this group, the desire to start a Brazilian church with regular services and programs arose. A place to praise together, listen to the Word of God, have communion and help fill any spiritual void present in the Brazilian community that lives here. After several meetings, much prayer and seeking God's will, the Brazilian Church of Hope began on October 31, 2004 with nine people.

Our church was born from the heart of God to serve the Brazilian community, their families and anyone who enters our doors. We have a place of evangelism, worship, praise, spiritual growth and communion for all those who wish to praise God in Portuguese. Our vision is to be “A welcoming community for all nations”. We believe that in Christ there is no distinction of race, sex or social class (Gal 3.28) and our mission declares that "We are called to praise God, to proclaim and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to serve our neighbors in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit until Jesus returns.
